Cara Delevigne just debuted a startling new look at the Cannes Film Festival.
On Wednesday, the British model stepped onto the red carpet in a dark mid-length wig, styled to look wet, with shaggy bangs. For her outfit, she wore a burgundy gown and accessorized with silver jewelry. She topped off the look with a smoky eye, dark brows, and a nude lip.
Delevigne was there for the premiere of The History Of Sound, a queer love story starring Paul Mescal and Josh O’Connor.
While posing for photos on the carpet, Delevigne stopped to greet actress Aja Naomi King, who was also there for the premiere.
The next day, Delevingne was photographed out with her blonde hair up in a bun, subtly confirming her dark hair was a very temporary change:
Over the years, Delevigne has become a reliable fixture in the film and TV industries. Most recently, she’s appeared in hit shows like American Horror Story and Only Murders in the Building. And she has a slew of upcoming films in the works, like The Murderous Miss Highsmith, starring Shailene Woodley as the famous writer Patricia Highsmith, and Punk with Machine Gun Kelly.
Back in 2024, Delevigne spoke to The Guardian about her dreams of conquering theater, too. “Broadway would be a dream,” she said. “I always loved the escapism of being on stage as a kid. I remember jumping off stage at school, landing badly and breaking my wrist, but not feeling it until after the show. It’s the same now, especially being sober—that adrenaline and sensation of losing yourself. I’ve had some personal things happen in my life but I go on stage and forget about all of it.”
