Months after separating from her husband of more than a decade Brian Austin Green, Megan Fox found new love with musician/actor Machine Gun Kelly (real name: Colson Baker). After meeting on a movie set earlier in 2021, they got engaged in 2022. Things have been on-off for the couple since, with them most recently breaking up during Thanksgiving 2024. Sources said Fox wants that split to be permanent.
They had announced they were expecting their first child together just weeks before, on November 11. Fox gave birth to their baby girl in March 2025.

The outing came amid rumors that she was quarantining separately from her longtime husband, Green. Both had been spotted without their wedding rings in recent months.

Fox and Kelly gave their first joint interview on Lala Kent and Randall Emmett’s podcast, Give Them Lala … With Randall. Randall directed the couple in Midnight in the Switchgrass and Fox recalled her initial thoughts when she discovered Kelly was cast. “I was like, ‘Who is going to play this role?’ And he was like, ‘Oh, we just got Machine Gun Kelly,’ and immediately, I was like, ‘Uh oh,'” Fox said, via Entertainment Tonight.
“Because I knew—I could feel that some wild shit was going to happen to me from that meeting, but I wasn’t yet sure what. I just felt it like, deep in my soul—that something was going to come from that,” she added.
After meeting on set and filming for two days, Fox said she felt an astrological connection between them. “I knew right away that he was what I call a twin flame,” she recalled. “Instead of a soul mate, a twin flame is actually where a soul has ascended into a high enough level that it can be split into two different bodies at the same time. So we’re actually two halves of the same soul, I think. And I said that to him almost immediately, because I felt it right away.”
“I think it was the second day [of filming],” she continued. “I asked him to come into my trailer for lunch, and I put him through all of this astrology stuff. I went deep right away. I knew before I even did his chart, I said to him, he has a Pisces moon. I could tell by his energy.”
All of the astrological talk ensued because the couple got a reading from astrologist Susan Miller during the podcast. People spotted Fox and Kelly out for a date night in Los Angeles, which later proved to involve the couple scaling the roof of The Roxy. A few days after their last public date night in Santa Monica, new reports emerged that Kelly had been introduced to Fox’s kids. On October 12, a source told People that Kelly “recently met her kids for the first time. Megan thought it was a natural step, since they are getting more serious. They are in a committed relationship and it’s not just a fling. They are planning a future together.” The insider added that Fox and Kelly “spend as much time together as they can” and are “doing great.”
Another source spoke to E! about how the couple is “planning their future together” and are “very serious.” The insider explained, “They see themselves as soulmates and life partners. They are taking steps every day to build on that. Machine Gun Kelly has met her kids and is becoming a part of their lives. She wanted to make sure it was going in a serious direction and they both feel very strongly that it is.”

Now that Kelly and Fox have been together for, well, the entire pandemic, things are starting to get serious. A source told Entertainment Tonight that Kelly sees marriage with Fox as something that will happen for them soon.
“MGK and Megan make each other laugh and that’s a big thing for Megan,” the source said. “They keep each other smiling. MGK totally sees marriage in his future with Megan and friends could 100 percent see them getting engaged within the next year.”
The source added, however, that “Megan doesn’t think about getting engaged [or] married and she doesn’t put a timeline in place and it’s not something that really crosses her mind.”

On his Instagram MGK shared a photo of the emerald and diamond ring designed by jeweler Stephen Webster, saying it incorporated both of their birthstones.

She shared a post where she quoted the Beyoncé lyric, “You can taste the dishonesty/ it’s all over your breath,” from the artist’s 2016 Lemonade song, “Pray You Catch Me.” The album was about Jay-Z’s infidelity, leading fans to wonder if cheating was an issue for Fox and Kelly. Fox disabled her instagram shortly after her moves got media attention that day.
But before she deleted her account, Comments by Celebs took a screenshot of Fox responding to a comment where a fan suggested that Kelly potentially cheated on her with guitarist Sophie Lloyd. “He probably got with Sophie,” the fan wrote. Fox commented, “Maybe I got with Sophie.”

Later that month, Fox spoke to WWD about her pain suffering a miscarriage with Kelly. “That experience was so much harder than I would’ve anticipated it being, and I’ve really analyzed ‘why was that? Why was that so difficult for me?’” she said. “Because when I was younger, I had an ectopic pregnancy, I’ve had other things that I’m not going to say because God forbid the world will be in an uproar. But I’ve been through other similar issues, but not with someone who I was so in love with.”
“And so that love element really made this miscarriage really tragic for me and left me with a lot of grief and a lot of suffering,” she continued. “So I put it into a lot of writing. He’s written about them in his albums as well, he wrote a couple of songs about the miscarriage. So it just felt like something that I could address publicly because it’s been addressed in one way through him, so I have a space to express as well.”

On December 5 and 6, both People and Us Weekly ran reports from sources revealing that Fox and Kelly are going through another rough patch.
A source close to the couple told People yesterday that they “had yet another big fight. It’s always the same thing. They have severe trust issues in the relationship. It’s been rough, but [they’re] still trying to work through it.”
A second source who also knows them said, “They’re still on and off.”
Us Weekly’s source offered similar comments a day later: “Megan and Colson have had a very up and down relationship. They are great one day and then fighting with each other the next.”
“They love each other and have passion in droves, but that passion goes both ways,” the source continued. “They are still trying to work through their issues and work on how they communicate, but both of them have such fiery personalities it’s been a struggle.”
Kelly and Fox spent New Year’s Eve together, signaling they remain on as a couple. The pair was photographed in Aspen, Colorado, bundled up for the cold weather on New Year’s Eve.

A source spoke to Entertainment Tonight on February 11 about how Kelly and Fox are managing their relationship. “Megan and Machine Gun Kelly have their ups and downs, as most couples do,” the source said. “They love so hard that sometimes things can be intense, but ultimately, they do their best to hear one another and better themselves. They both want a happy, loving, supportive, and honest relationship.”
They sought third-party help in order to help repair things: “Therapy and open communication play pivotal roles in their relationship dynamics, with the couple prioritizing constructive dialogue and personal growth,” the source said. “Seeking guidance from a trusted third party allows them to navigate challenges and strengthen their bond, fostering an environment where mutual understanding thrives.”
“They like to share their thoughts and feelings in a controlled environment with a trusted third party to ensure everyone is heard,” the source continued. “It’s also a good way for them to develop plans to ensure a healthy future as individuals and as a couple.
On February 12, Fox and Kelly had their first big night out of the year, attending a Super Bowl after-party together. They were photographed partying with Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce.

On Monday, March 4, Fox and MGK touched down in Mexico for a romantic getaway. The couple stayed at an exclusive tropical resort and were photographed by paparazzi upon their arrival.
Fox wore a black sports bra with sweatpants and left her pink hair down with a middle part. Her rockstar boyfriend wore a white short-sleeve Stüssy sweatshirt with gray and white patterned pants, gold wire-rimmed glasses, and a red baseball cap with rhinestones, which he wore backwards.
Fox later spoke on Call Her Daddy in an episode released on March 20 and confirmed they previously called off their engagement.
She added that she doesn’t plan to share anymore about them in interviews. “I think that what I’ve learned from being in this relationship is that it’s not for public consumption,” Fox said. “So I think, as of now, I don’t have a comment on the status of the relationship, per se. What I can say is that [he] is what I refer to as being my ‘twin soul,’ and there will always be a tether to him, no matter what. I can’t say for sure what the capacity will be, but I will always be connected to him somehow. Beyond that, I’m not willing to explain. All those things you said were accurate things that have occurred [that we got engaged, called it off, and now people aren’t sure what our status is]. And I could see them being confusing, or interesting to people, and them being like, ‘What’s up?’”
A source spoke to Us Weekly that same day and described the couple as “at a low moment right now” and still relatively on-off.
Another source speaking with People said, “One day they’re up, the next they’re down.”
They continued, “That intensity is still there nearly four years into their relationship, but that’s not necessarily ‘healthy.’ There are still a ton of trust issues between them and it’s very toxic…They can’t stay away from each other and there’s a lot of history there, but they also don’t know how to be in a healthy relationship. They’ll be totally fine, then days later get into a huge blowout fight and not talk for weeks, but then give in and be all lovey-dovey again.”
Of the engagement plans, the source said, “They never picked back up wedding plans or even got to a place where they could think about really getting married. It doesn’t seem like either wants to give the other up, even though they both know it’s not healthy.”

Fox and MGK were seen dancing with each other at the Stagecoach Festival on Friday, April 26, during Jelly Roll’s set while hanging in the VIP section, according to TMZ. At one point, it appears that the singer is crooning to his date as they swayed together.

Fox and MGK are reportedly “taking things one day at a time with their relationship,” according to a source speaking with Entertainment Tonight.
“They are continuing to go to therapy, be fully transparent with each other about their feelings, and have consistent communication,” the insider continued. “They have dealt with some trust issues, but are both making a continual effort to stay committed to their mutual end goal of being together forever. They are also respecting each other’s space when needed, which is key for them during this time.”
They added, “Overall, they’re doing their best to make things work and keeping their kids in mind as well. They are trying to keep their relationship issues as private as possible and protect their children from any drama or outside noise.”
July 2024
The pair were seen at Michael Rubin’s famous annual white party on the 4th of July in the Hamptons. Fox was wearing a short, body-hugging white sundress with a floral cutout pattern. She accessorized with a silver choker and her hair was dark brown and left down around her shoulders. MGK wore a white T-shirt, suspenders, and white pants plus a pair of silver-framed sunglasses.
In late July, Machine Gun Kelly and Jelly Roll released the music video for their track “Lonely Road” starring Fox as a pregnant woman who goes on to have a bay by the end of the story. There are several scenes of MGK caressing her baby bump and at the end they play with an infant girl, with the credits reading, “Introducing: Baby Violet Leika.”
Some fans were excited by the suggestion that the couple were introducing their actual child and not a new baby performer. However, there is no sign that Fox has recently been pregnant nor disguised a pregnancy—only that she’s an excellent actress.
August 2024
Kelly credited Fox with helping him become fully sober after going to rehab last year. He said on Bunnie XO’s Dumb Blonde podcast, via Entertainment Tonight, “That woman struck a bullseye. When I felt that sense light up, everything else went away, and I learned what it was to accept living. It gave purpose to everything I was confused as to why I was here for. I’m forever grateful to God and indebted to the destiny lines that wove me and her together… When I saw her eyes for the first time, it was like I had a telescope to every secret in the universe. I think what followed that really proved what moving with love does.”
As he went on his sobriety journey, he said that Fox “has for sure been extremely helpful in dealing with the kind of psychological withdrawals that come with [getting off drugs].” He added, “I’ve just been really happy seeing everybody. I love that I’m clear when I look at the person I love.”

Fox announced that she is pregnant with her and Kelly’s first child. She shared a photo of her nude body covered in black liquid on Instagram and included a second slide with a positive pregnancy test. She wrote, “Nothing is ever really lost. welcome back 👼🏼❤️”
On November 25, Kelly addressed the news himself while giving an update on his music. He wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter, “Isolating myself in the desert next week to restart this album from scratch. When inspiration flows through me unblocked, we will reach the destination in no time. Don’t worry. After all, I’m about to be a dad again!”

On December 10, TMZ reported that Kelly and Fox had broken up again while in Vail, Colorado, during the Thanksgiving holiday. Sources told the outlet that Fox “found material on MGK’s phone that was upsetting, and it made her want him to leave the trip early.”
Kelly left the trip, and the former couple has not seen each other since, the outlet wrote. The news came just weeks after Fox announced her pregnancy with her and Kelly’s first child. The baby is reportedly due in March.
A source confirmed the breakup to Us Weekly as well, saying, “They broke up in late November. They were trying to make it work again after the pregnancy, but they are both too hot-headed and fell back into their constant fighting. They can’t get on the same page, and it’s not easy for them being together.”
That insider shared they “could very well be back together” in the future but “are done for now.”
Sources speaking with Us Weekly, Page Six, and Entertainment Tonight offered their takes on why the pair split for now.
A source told Page Six, “When they went away for the Thanksgiving holiday, she became suspicious and decided to go through his phone…[She] found text messages involving other women and decided she was done.”
The insider added that her “trust issues” with Kelly were “because of past behavior.” She had wanted to move past it and “rebuild her trust with [him],” the source shared, adding Fox “was excited to grow their family together.”
But she is fine being single too, the source added: “Megan is a strong, independent woman and doesn’t need a man in her life.”
Us Weekly’s source revealed that Fox and Kelly “have broken up several times since the pregnancy was announced. This was just one of the bigger ones that people have heard about.”
The insider added, “Their relationship is so full of passion and that leads them to get back together over and over, but also to fight in the most toxic of ways. Their fights have gotten less intense now that MGK is sober, but they still have such a hard time having a stable relationship with each other.”
Entertainment Tonight’s source said this may not be the end for them. “Megan and MGK are not together right now, but that could easily change in the future,” the insider said. “They have been on and off throughout their relationship, but have a deep love for each other and connection and that doesn’t just go away.
“They still have some trust issues to work through and they can both be emotional and impulsive at times,” the source added. “The two of them want to focus on Megan’s wellbeing for the future of their baby.”
Us Weekly later shared Kelly’s view of the situation. He is “taking some time away from Hollywood,” the insider said, noting he left California “for a while.”
“Everything has been a lot lately, and he’s been very anxious and wants to escape the whole situation and work on himself,” the source shared. “At the moment, he realizes they are definitely over, and he’s been very clear with friends about that. [He] seems very different from normal.”
A source speaking with People said Fox is “devastated and very emotional.”
Despite needing space and time to recover, a source speaking with Page Six on December 13 said they intend on being co-parents together. The insider stated that Fox has “every intention” of co-parenting despite “still feeling betrayed.”
“Colson has reached out to Megan because he deeply loves her,” they shared. “There was no cheating on his part, but he understands he hurt her.”
MGK reportedly “wants nothing more” than to be a family and “raise this child together.”
On December 17, a source told Us Weekly, “There are huge trust issues between them… This has happened many times before, but this time hurt even deeper because she is pregnant. She has said she isn’t getting back together with him and is moving on.” That insider added that Fox is “trying to focus on being positive.”
Kelly and Fox “haven’t been in contact this last week,” they continued, adding that “things are not looking great between them right now…She hopes with them taking time apart right now, they will be able to have a healthy co-parenting relationship. MGK is really letting Megan lead the way right now and is giving her space.”
A second source told Us Weekly that Fox is “so excited” to welcome her and Kelly’s baby. The insider said, “No matter how she feels about MGK, she has a lot of love for him and is excited that they are going to become parents.”

In early February, a source told Us Weekly that Fox has been focusing on “healing” and not “revisiting the past.”
“Megan is moving forward independently and is not interested in revisiting the past,” said the insider. “Megan is focused on her pregnancy and not looking back. She is deeply hurt by how things ended but is focusing on healing.”
Fox is “taking extra care of herself and focusing on a healthy pregnancy” by “avoiding stress and prioritizing her mental and emotional health.”
Kelly has supposedly been “struggling” since the breakup, and is trying to channel “his energy into self-improvement.”
“He has been focusing on mental health and getting back in shape,” the insider added. “He’s heartbroken but trying to move forward.”
As for a reconciliation, though they’ve done so in the past, the source suggested that was not likely this time.
“MGK would like to reconcile, but Megan is firm in her decision to move on,” the insider stated. “She does not see a future with him anymore. She doesn’t want to put herself in the same position again with him anymore. She wants to break the cycle.”
However, both Fox and Kelly still believe that their baby is the “greatest gift” they have found together.
“She believes that while they may not have been meant to be together, she was meant to bring his child into the world. Her children are her greatest blessing,” said the insider. “She is looking ahead with excitement, ready to welcome her baby and focus on the future.”

In March, MGK shared a tribute to close friend Luke “The Dingo” Trembath, after he suddenly passed away at 39-years-old. In a post on Instagram on March 7, he mentioned the upcoming birth of his baby.
“I’ve lost a lot of friends, but I’ve never lost a brother,” MGK began. “We’ll never get another Dingo on this planet. A true rockstar without ever needing to make a song, the most loyal, loud, charismatic, funny, and annoying human I’ve ever had the honor of knowing.”
He continued, “I feel like your [sic] up there with my new child, dressed up in a hilarious costume making them laugh, getting ready to send them down. I couldn’t ask for a more bittersweet birth blessing.”

Fox gave birth to her and Kelly’s first child, a baby girl, on March 27. Kelly shared footage of their newborn and wrote, “she’s finally here!! our little celestial seed 🥹💓♈️♓️♊️”
That same day, a source told People that the couple is on better terms than before. “Whatever issues they have, Megan and MGK both are on the same page when it comes to co-parenting,” the source said. “Right now they’re amicable.”

On March 29, another source speaking with People says that the former couple plan to co-parent together, but there is no interest in reconciliation from Fox.
“It feels magical to her that she now has a baby girl too,” said the insider. “She’s doing great and over the moon about her baby girl.”
They continued, “The last few months alone have been difficult for her. At this point, she plans on co-parenting with Colson, but that’s it. She won’t be getting back together with him.”

Kelly posted an Instagram Story clarifying they did not name their child Celestial Seed despite rumors otherwise. “Her mom is gonna tell you the name when we’re ready,” he wrote.

A source told Us Weekly said that since their daughter has arrived, there has been a “noticeable change” in the former Fox and MGK’s relationship.
“The relationship is still complicated. They haven’t reconciled,” the source said. “It’s a mix of healing and hard conversations that they have had.”
The insider added that co-parenting has “brought them closer together,” adding that both parents are “obsessed” with the new baby. It has also been great for Fox to be a new mom once again.
“Megan has really leaned into motherhood again,” said the source. “She loved when her kids were little and has missed that phase. She feels renewed and refreshed.”
They added, “Friends haven’t seen her this happy in years. She’s glowing.”
It has supposedly had a huge effect on MGK as well, and the musician has “completely changed” since Fox gave birth.
“The baby is already wrapped around his finger,” the source continued. “Megan has noticed his energy is different, the look in his eyes is different, his aura has changed. She feels the baby is exactly what he needed, and she is hoping it sticks.”
Fox’s “biggest worry” now is that her former flame “will change again and be the guy she doesn’t know.”
The source also stated he has been there “100 percent” in the last few weeks.
“[He’s] making sure they are taken care of, doing on them, being present,” the source explained. “It’s changed [Fox’s] mind a little bit about him and if there can be a future of them together.”

Fox and Kelly were spotted together in Calabasas outside a grocery store. The musician headed in to grab some supplies, while the actress waited in their Rolls-Royce. It was their first public appearance with one another since welcoming their daughter. MGK wore a flannel shirt, black beanie, and cargo pants, and sunglasses.

A source speaking to Us Weekly said that the former couple is “absolutely not getting back together at this point in time,” but Fox is “grateful” that the musician has been available as a father.
The baby lives full-time with Fox at the moment, with Kelly “coming and going,” and spending the night a few days a week. The actress “makes the rules” and her former partner is “very aware of this.”
MGK was supposedly bringing up the state of their relationship, but has backed off, and they are now “all about the baby.”
“Megan thinks MGK has stepped up and is being a good dad but doesn’t think they have a future together romantically,” the source explained. “Megan is in heaven with her baby girl and is really focused on being a mom right now.”

MGK shared a new glimpse of their baby girl on Instagram. The musician posted a photo dump with the caption, “stop what you’re doing these pictures are v important.” The fourth photo in the carousel showed Kelly posing in the reflection of a car with the baby strapped to his chest in a carrier. Though her face was turned away, the top of her head was visible.
