Dr. Helmut Lucero Love’s book and campaign unite spiritual and economic vision
ATLANTA, Ga. — On National Pride Day, Republican mayoral candidate Dr. Helmut Lucero Love calls Atlantans to celebrate pride with unity in One Love, a gay spiritual belief he details in the Pride month release of his book, Wake Up to Your Life Magic – Your Roadmap to Riches, Love and Happiness.
A healthcare technology executive whose innovations have generated over $750M in revenue and impacted over 2 billion lives, Love heralds that this moment in time calls for “a spiritual, economic and political awakening to unify Americans and the world in a common belief in Love.”
“As every tribe and tongue is blessed with gay, so it follows that the gay belief in One Love unites all faiths, nations, and races,” says Love. “Pride, the day of gay liberation, is a day of human liberation from sexual shame to embrace a common love that transcends gender, race, orientation, class and ultimately reveals the common thread in all faiths. Born to a German father raised in Berlin, whose parents resisted the Nazis, and to a Native American, Latin mother descended from Mexican revolutionaries-turned-missionaries who stole-from-the-rich to give-to-the-poor, Love is a Texas born native who has called Atlanta home for 15 years. Love believes the word is at a prophetic, critical turning point.

In his mayoral bid, Love challenges Atlanta’s growing wealth gap stemming from long-standing fraud, waste, and abuse. With a background leading turnarounds and growth in mega-million corporate divisions at General Electric, IBM Watson and McKesson, Love calls for new economic creativity.
His inititatives include private-public-university partnerships to create technical solutions that both solve the city’s greatest social ills and can be sold abroad, better harnessing Atlanta’s diverse “New Hollywood” influencer power to create more Georgia-based commerce, and revisiting state-wide initiatives in transportation.
