Katy Perry and former Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau’s three-stop Montreal date made global headlines, but it looks like the burgeoning romance isn’t moving forward for now. A source told People today that Perry isn’t pursuing a relationship with anyone.
“Katy isn’t looking to date right now,” the source said. “She’s still in the middle of a tour; she’s a single mom [to her almost 5-year-old daughter, Daisy] and navigating some major personal changes.”
Yesterday, a source told the outlet that it may not be over completely for her and Trudeau, but now is not their moment. “They had a casual first get-to-know-you date,” the insider said. “And although they have shared interests and plenty to talk about, dating just isn’t on her radar. She’s stayed in touch with Justin, but there are no current plans for another meet-up.”
