Shiva Baby and Bottoms star Rachel Sennott has a new project in the works: Her newly titled comedy series, I Love LA, is officially coming to HBO.
“I’m so grateful to Amy [Gravitt, executive VP of HBO and Max comedy programming] and HBO for the opportunity to make this show and the wonderful team that has been a part of creating it,” Sennott said in a statement released in 2024.

Here’s the official logline, per Variety:
“A codependent friend group reunites, navigating how the time apart, ambition, and new relationships have changed them.”
Who is in the cast?
Sennott will star in the series alongside Odessa A’zion, Jordan Firstman, True Whitaker, and Josh Hutcherson. Guest stars will include Leighton Meester, Quenlin Blackwell, Elijah Wood, and Josh Brener.
Variety also reported that Moses Ingram and Lauren Holt have joined the cast.
Exact character details haven’t been announced yet.
Who is behind the scenes?
In addition to starring in and creating the series, Sennott will also serve as a writer and executive producer. Lorene Scafaria (Hustlers) will executive produce and direct the pilot.
Has production wrapped yet?
Yes! On August 4, A’zion posted Instagram photos of her, Sennott, Firstman, Whitaker, and Hutcherson, and wrote: “we all love each other so much and we’re so excited for you to see the show we almost couldn’t finish making cause we were all laughing way too hard @hbo we never wanted it to end!!”
Hutcherson reposted the image on his story and added, “that’s a wrap🔥🔥🔥.”
When will I Love LA come out?
The series will premiere on November 2, 2025, and weekly episodes will drop until the finale airs on December 21.
