- The kids seemed fascinated by the filming process.
On Monday, Meghan Markle posted a carousel of photos from filming season two of With Love, Meghan, including shots of her children, Archie and Lilibet, behind-the scenes.
In the caption, the Duchess of Sussex wrote, “Filming season two of With Love, Meghan was more fun than you can imagine. Part of how we kept the vibe alive? Music. Between set ups I would play a song from my phone, and today I wanted to share some of the favorites I kept on rotation! Add them to your playlist, press shuffle, and enjoy! Happy Labor Day weekend! Work hard, play hard.”
In one photo, the two red-headed kids could be seen watching playback videos of the shoot, appearing to be completely engrossed in the process. Lili is wearing a pink hoodie over a black dress with a floral pattern. Archie has on a bright red shirt from a soccer school.
In another shot, Lili is sitting up in a “director’s chair,” wearing a pink shirt and polka dot pants.
There was also a picture of Archie getting to use the slate on set, his face covered by a white heart emoji.
The first season of the show was not filmed in Meghan and Prince Harry’s actual Montecito home, but in a nearby rental. She wanted to keep her space safe for the children, telling People, “I wanted to protect that safe haven. We’re a close-knit family, and I love those moments—putting Lili down for a nap, having lunch together, having sacred time together at the end of the day. Our kitchen is where Mama just cooks for the family, and with a crew of 80-plus people, that’s a lot of people to have in your house!”
But her kids did visit set then, as well.
“Archie did the [filming clapboard]! Sweet moments,” Meghan recalled. “They would also come with my husband and visit me on-set, and I loved that my children were able to watch me working and see the balance of that and understand what Mama does and is working to create and share. It was really special because up until then, they hadn’t seen me at work.”
She added, “I hope that when they get old enough, they feel really proud that they were part of the beginning of this with me.”
