Fetzer Institute launches Spiritual Solutions Library and new website to spotlight global sacred action

KALAMAZOO, Mich. The Fetzer Institute announced the public launch of its newly redesigned website and the debut of the Spiritual Solutions Library: a digital archive of over 60 global case studies that spotlight sacred-centered responses to today’s most pressing social challenges.

Developed in collaboration with more than 20 international filmmakers, journalists, and storytellers, the Spiritual Solutions Library aims to inspire individuals, communities, and organizations to view social transformation through a spiritual lens: one grounded in love, dignity, and sacred belonging.

“Our goal with this library is simple yet profound,” said Sara Critchfield, Vice President of Global Outreach at the Fetzer Institute. “We want to show what becomes possible when love is at the center of our efforts to heal, transform, and lead.”

The Spiritual Solutions Library features:

  • 60+ case studies spanning 6 continents and 12 categories like Violence Prevention, Environment, Spiritual Innovation, Economy, and more
  • Multimedia storytelling (short films, feature articles, and podcasts)
  • Featuring bylines from award-winning storytellers such as Noel and Magdalena Rojo, Linda Freund, Dilshad Ali, Ken Chitwood, Innocent Eteng, Priyadarshini Sen, among others, alongside contributions from renowned journalists at Religion News Service

From Indigenous-led efforts to protect the Great Lakes to queer expressions of faith through drag, sacred gardening, and sacred-centered tech innovation, the library highlights diverse spiritual responses to today’s most urgent challenges.

Alongside the launch of the library, the Fetzer Institute unveiled a completely redesigned website, created to better reflect the Institute’s evolving mission and growing global partnerships. With a clean, intuitive, and visual-first design and deeper storytelling focus, the new site offers:

“We invite everyone to explore the new Fetzer website,” says Roberto Lara, Director of Communications at Fetzer. “It’s more than a redesign. It’s an open door to our vision of a spiritually grounded world. We hope it becomes a place of reflection, connection, and inspiration for all who visit.”
